Bringing Citizens Together to End Cannabis Prohibition

A movement built to win

Seminar.jpgOur movement is riding an unprecedented wave of momentum from 2014. Not only did voters in Alaska, Oregon and Washington, D.C. approve measures to end prohibition and legalize cannabis, the first year of legal cannabis in Colorado and Washington state proved successful.

The Coalition for Cannabis Policy Reform and ReformCA hosted a special event in Oakland last Friday to hear from the leaders behind those historic victories to see what lessons we could learn as California prepares to follow in their footsteps in 2016.

You can read detailed recaps from The LeafEast Bay Express and Cannabis Now.

It was a small but significant step for our movement that we will build on over the coming months through a series of "roundtables" taking place all over the state in which we hope to hear from even more voices for reform. Watch this space for more details on those events.

In the meantime, we encourage you to check out video from Friday's event below, and then share your thoughts about a 2016 initiative with us through this quick survey.

Videographer Chad Rea from www.digitalactivism.tv captured Friday's event to share with everyone who couldn't make it in person. You'll be able to view the opening remarks, panel sessions and keynote using the following video player.
